ABOUT ME
Change is a constant in life. Personally and professionally I’m proud to say I have embraced change. Some change has been forced onto me, others I’ve sought out. It’s fair to say some I never want to see again! Whatever the source, my most effective response has been when I’ve approached the challenge with the attitude of ‘in this day I have lived’. In doing so, I show respect for myself and others. To me, people matter.
As a counsellor committed to the ethical and practical delivery of evidence-based therapies, I can help you explore counselling solutions that support change. I know you want to be heard but also to move ahead. I believe you have many of the answers within you.
Whether these challenges are expressed as emotion dysregulation, anxiety, depression or substance misuse, my training in psychology and counselling combined with my ongoing commitment to personal and professional development and expert supervision is at your disposal.
Outside of my practice, I work in a private DBT clinic offering comprehensive DBT treatment. I can also be found riding mountain bike trails or organising family get-togethers. I love playing golf, and a reduced handicap is a long term goal. I am the mother to two adult children and a much loved wife.
